JAVA EE / JAVA 8 Developer with SQL Skills

We are looking for a JAVA EE / JAVA 8 Developer with SQL skills for a long term (over 12 months), full time, remote assignment for our client, an IT services company based in Europe. You have experience around Springboot, Git, Kafka, ElasticSearch and Kubernetes technologies.

Mission:

Based on the functional specifications provided by the Project Manager, the developer will analyse, parametrise and code the application software components in compliance with standards and procedures.

Major tasks:

• Participate in the analysis of needs and their modelling according to the company's techniques and standards.
• Designing and modelling the IT solutions to be implemented.
• Helping to maintain the coherence of the application architecture.
• Build the application (coding), perform unit tests.
• Participate in integration and system tests.
• Documenting the analysis, design, implementation and testing work.
• Assist in estimating development efforts.
• Assist in the implementation of development methods, tools and standards.
• Participate in reviews of deliverables.

• Minimum 5+ years of extensive application programming experience in building Java backend frameworks and services using Java/JEE.
• At least 5 years experience in Java 8 (or higher) application development.
• Excellent knowledge of the Java language.
• At least one year of experience with SQL.
• Very good knowledge of SQL language, optimization level.
• A real plus: Mastery of PL/SQL (Oracle).
