Job Description
Role purpose:
This role is providing engineering leadership for the GDC Active Directory solutions and defines a framework, which allows the establishment of a strategic, resilient, and fully supported resource domain service and underlying processes. Also, to plan upgrades, migrations, and deployments. Responsible for the engineering, and integration for the GDC Active Directory platforms.
Drives forward the creation of standard design building blocks, reviews, and approves. Can deliver future-proof device independent designs of flexible, adaptive, scalable, cost-effective GDC Active Directory solutions.
Continuously identify and implement system and processes improvement initiatives to deliver a best in class user experience whilst improving efficiency in processes and costs.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Responsible for consolidating the entire Active directory environment to a single forest with a single domain to enhance the security and managing of the active directory.
- Administering and dealing with Vodafone International Services infrastructure issues around the world (Germany, UK, New Zealand, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, India, Greece, etc).
- Provide 2nd / 3rd level support for GDC Infrastructure Services.
- Responsible for the technical assessment and analysis of the domains in the scope of the migration.
- Responsible for the technical delivery of the AD Migration status.
Required profile for job ad : Technical Analyst _VOIS Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Bachelor of computer science/ engineering.
- 8 years’ experience in operating of IT infrastructure in datacentre environments, preferably Server- / Storage and/or administration of network infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English both oral and written is a must.
- Ownership and commitment attitude
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Experience and proven success in in the deployment and operations of large-scale complex services for multi-functional, multi-national companies.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory solutions, and detailed technical knowledge relating to engineering of Windows server environments.
- Experience and proven success in defining target architectures for large scale solutions.
- Detailed technical knowledge and experience about data centre setup and Operations
- Detailed technical knowledge about IP networks and associated technologies.
- Solid knowledge Windows Servers & Systems Administrations and Power shell scripting.
- Solid Knowledge about VMware and virtualization technologies, Hardware and software interfaces, about Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Database.
- Solid Knowledge of some of the following technologies:
- Active Directory Services
- Storage
- Linux
- LDAP
- TCP/IP Protocols.
- Windows Clustering/DHCP/DNS.
- File servers and DFS
- Group policies management.
- Certificate authority
- Knowledge about Agile Methodologies and ITIL Foundation v3
- Familiar with BMC Remedy ticketing system.
